π€·ββοΈ Where can I find older editions of Always Be Curious? π¨βπ»
Always Be Curious is your weekly shot of sci-tech coverage. Bringing you the now, the how and the wow of science and technology with a special focus on the chip industry.
Hello curious mind. π Youβve found out about Always Be Curious, my weekly newsletter that dives into the now, how and wow of science, technology and chips. But youβre wondering why you cannot find editions #1 through #141 on Substack! βοΈ
Well, those back issues still live on Revue, the platform where ABC originally started in December 2019. Revue was acquired by Twitter in 2020. And it kinda fell apart after Musk flew in and slashed the Revue team in November 2022. Hereβs what I wrote in my Iβm-migrating-from-Revue-to-Substack-post a while back.
With Revue on the Twitter chopping block and some initial cracks already appearing in the platform (weird glitches, API bugs, no support), I want to safeguard this newsletter for the future. My core drive has always been to deliver a reliable, beautiful, simple and content-rich newsletter, and Substack is a great platform to do just that. So starting from the next edition, #146, you will receive Always Be Curious from the Substack mailer (alwaysbecurious@substack.com: check your junk email if you don't receive ABC next week...and then whitelist the email address!) and of course in their apps (iOS, Android), where you can also discover other writers. The new landing page is right here and already holds some back issues. One unfortunate fact of life that there currently seems to be an issue in the API of Revue which prohibits me from exporting the full ABC archive to Substack. Ugh. I've asked the Twitter/Revue team for support a week ago, but I'm pretty "The Revue team" is one dude and one dude only. So this may take a long time or may not happen at all.
Peace out,
-S
